I'm going to post pictures of it this weekend. I just tested it before work and it's fine.
I hook it to my air compressor, so I went to home depot and got the following:
Mini Air Regulator with Gauge (Campbell Hausfeld, $25. There are cheaper ones, BTW)
Male Fitting for air compressor hose
2 Male to male threaded fittings
1 female to femal threaded fitting
Metal Washer (1 1/2" OD, ~ 1/2" ID)
JB Weld
2" Rubber washer, 1/2" ID. You need to trim this down.
I already had teflon tape at home.
Here's the kicker... For $1.67 at wal-mart you can get a
replacement fuel filler cap for those red gas cans you
might use for your mower or weed wacker. One of the 2
things has the filler tube, the other cap covers that filler
tube. That outer cap fits on the master cyl. res. That's
$1.67!!!!
Drill the cap
Put the cap on one of the male to male air fittings
and JB weld the metal washer to it. When that dries,
put the rubber washer in the cap. This way you screw
the cap down and get a good seal.
Now put the air regulator assembly together and attach
this piece with the cap, and you're in business. I'll
take some digital pix and post full details this weekend.
BTW, thanks to Pat Price for lending me his version
of this tool. His uses the proper cap, but I just bumped
into this thing at Wal Mart that happens to work.
I did 1 C900 with pat's bleeder, and I'll do my other one
with this one and hope it works as well.
I have about $35 in mine, but I could have bought a cheaper
regulator and put about $25 into the whole mess. If you
have JB weld and big washers around, you can save a few
bucks. My junk boxes are not as full as some people's...
