Advice: Repair or replace steering rack? (long?)

90 SPG has been leaking power steering fluid (2 puddles, 1 at each end under rack) for about a month. Today we cleaned up the mess on the car, turned the steering left/right several times, then looked around for leaks. I also removed the reservoir, cleaned hoses/etc. and put back together with clamps nicely tightened. Tightened the clamp at the lower end of the "low pressure/larger hose" also. The only leak we found is from the seal on top of the rack, where the steering shaft appears to enter the rack. It didn't take very long to start showing fluid (by looking down past the A/C compressor).

Question: Car has 168,000 on it, don't know if rack is original or not. Should I bother to attempt to repair this rack by replacing several seals, after removal. Then reinstall it and hope?

Or should I get a rebuilt steering rack from Sobstory/eeuroparts/another place, replace my leaky one, and get on with enjoying this smile-generating SPG?

Is "Power Steering Sealer" have any potential, or a waste of time? I have some on the shelf (just thought of that).

For rack removal/replacement, any other parts/material needed? We've replaced 2 racks on 84 and 86 900T's. Is the 90 different, what with ABS?

My thought is get a rebuilt and go, but I'm open to suggestions, ideas, etc. Thanks, again!
