Car with the head problem (head is not off yet, so I'm not sure about nature of the trouble)
89T conv. with 165K miles, history of overheating about 2000 miles ago (I bought it for $650)

Just found....
86 900S 16 valve, 115K miles Car was rolled (it appears...) so it was operating before it ended up in the junk yard. It is a 5 spd 4 door.

I can have the head for $30 plus the time to pull it off. I'm aware I will have to swap the input cam.

Questions:

1. This seems like an earlier vintage 16V head. Any obvious problems?

2. The 89T has water cooling for the turbo. Will I have any problem with this '86 vintage head?

3. If I go ahead and make the swap, what should I do with the donor head? Just clean it up and slap it on, have the valves ground, have it gone over, or????
