Bad Cam follower?? (long) need help

I am putting a 2.0 16V turbo cylinder head back together after a valve job, port and polish and after reassembly I noticed that one of my valves was not seating properly. I took the camshaft back off and pulled the cam follower to check things out. The cam follower seems seized and it not allowing the valve to seat properly. This head is one I got used and has been sitting for a while. All of the other cam followers are spongy because they are not pumped up( no oil), but this one won't move at all. The valve stems have been ground to the proper height so that isn't the problem.

Anyone ever seen this happen or heard of this?

I am doing the head swap starting tomorrow and my plan for now is to take one of the followers from the head that is on the car and use it.

Any thoughts?
