I too have a blue saab door story! I have an 87 and the drivers door was changed out with another blue saab door. Heres the thing, the factory has variences in color so each blue saab out there is either a shade dark or light of another blue (or other color) saab out there. The Drivers door on mine is lighter than the surrounding panels and it sticks out in direct sunlight! So if your willing to change from the annoying dent to the annoying color difference , Id simply just stick with the dent. If you do have a shop repair the dent, You'll also have issues with it too. Most likely they will tell you that they will blend on front fender and hood and the back door or quarter panel if 2 or 4 dr. This is suppose to hide the visual difference in color and trick the eye. Well Black is about the only color Ive seen you can panel paint or blend with out noticing a difference somewhere down the line. Black is black. The next issue is , did they remove the door moldings, and handle, or just mask them off. If masked them off you will have tape lines and chance of clear flaking off in these areas over time. So are you ready to add more annoying things to your saab, or keep it down to one? From what Ive learned with mine, Live with it appearence wise and fix it mechanical wise to keep it running to that 300,000mi mark people are reaching in their saabs! Keep saabin! 87 saaber
