Be aware...Saab automatics are PROBLEMATIC. Since you just purchased, I would recommend the dealer using a tool to suck all 10 quarts out and replacing with F-type. It makes a huge shifting difference. NEVER use anything but F-type. Also change the filter and differential fluid. Thereafter the filter isn't all that important.
Be aware...the filter is expensive and the dealer may not even have one in stock. Change differential fluid every 30k.
Thereafter, drain the trans fluid every 10k during an ordinary motor oil/filter change. A simple drain requires 3 to 4 quarts to replace. Unfortunately you have to be proactive with Saab automatics otherwise expect 2k to 3k on a reman. Change your motor/oil yourself, use the dealer or a good indy. I lost an automatic at 65k because an indy drained my differential and didn't replace the fluid.
Cheers...Mark Z
