leather vs cloth seats

I just replaced my old ratty brown interior (carpets, seats, door panels, the works) with a rich dark blue. Completely goes with the dark blue exterior. The seat cover material is the plush velvet/cloth. While on a hunt for a good used headliner in a local scrap yard, I came upon a 1990 900 with the same blue interior, but with leather seats. The front driver seat is pretty beat up, but the pass side and back seats are in good shape. If I only pull the pass and rear seats on this car, I reason I can eventually find another good driver side seat of the same color, or take another good passenger seat and swap the seat and back cushions onto the driver seat frame (I've done it before on a SAAB). The only question is: do I want leather seats? Those of you with leather seats - do you like them? With proper cleaning and conditioning, do they last?
