What's wrong with HeliCoil inserts? I've used them & they work really great. If the ones Anders suggested are even better, then why mess with drilling thru?
Besides, it sounds like at least one is an inside bolt, & you can't drill thru for that one.
I tried some stuff once (on a lawnmower) from Permatex; it was some kind of epoxy which was supposed to renew stripped threads in bolt holes. You mix it up, stuff it in the holes, then put some kind of mold-release compound on the bolt, put it together loosely. After it cures you can tighten it. Don't bother! It didn't work.
