A rubber hose conveys brake fluid from the brake master cylinder reservoir down to a plastic nipple protruding from the clutch master cylinder below. This line is under no pressure. For some reason, yours worked itself off (were you/your mechanic working on your car in that area recently?).
If necessary, replace the hose. I'd also flush the entire hydraulic system if it's been awhile or if reservoir level dropped way low. Pressure bleed clutch @ the slave cylinder, btw; vaccuum won't work.
