Sometimes it's just easier to remove the entire turbocharger. Then remove the tube, etc.
Last time I changed out a turbo on my I pulled the turbo and the tube came out of the block at the same time....I put the thing back together by putting the return tube in the O-ring and in the block and then putting the turbo on the manifold and hooking up the exhaust pipe (beware...the studs on the 90 degree elbow often strip or back out because the nuts won't release...get new studs). You'll also need new copper washers før the banjo bolts that hold the oil and coolant lines to the turbo. New washers=no leaks.
OTOH, it's really just a steep learning curve. I've found an 18" long 3/8" drive extension with a 10mm universal socket on the end easily lines up to put those bolts in. Once you've put it in a few times it takes maybe an hour for the entire job or less with air tools.
