Good news. It's not the LH2.2. The new (rebuilt) AMM arrived today and after I installed it the engine started immediately just as it always has. It then would barely idle but that turned out to be the jumper to ground on the AIC disable connector. Once I removed that, the engine worked perfectly.
I warmed it up, drained the oil and replaced it. I think I had so much gasoline mixed in there it was really thin.I need to take it on a longer road trip to get teh O2 sensor cleaned out a bit. May still need one of those since the idle is a little rough. But AIC works well, and now the AMM is new. The car has even got better performance.
Hopefully nothing was screwed up with the diluted oil (like bearings).
I'm still game for Reverse Engineering the LH2.2. After I've driven the car a bit more and seated the rings better I'll take the scope to the AMM and look at the output. My Scope has a Floppy Drive so I can capture waveforms and save them as a benchmark. I'll set up a WEB page and post some of this stuff.
