DEFINATELY BE CAREFUL. I found the procedure to modify an existing apc box on line, but I would use extreme caution, as you don't want to rev up you car too much, it can cause more wear. My '85 is tweaked out, but I try not to beat on it too much as I have had to replace the head gasket/radiator/blow off valve/and cv joints. Though this is a combination of mileage and wear, I feel I would have gotten more use out of them if i wasn't running a higher boost all the time. You can also by pass the wastegate/blow off valve (not sure which exactly) just to see what the car is really made of, but be careful. I did this once and hit the fuel cut off while the wheels were spinning in 2nd gear! lots of boost, but i thought I blew up the car!
