1. No. Probably not much, though.
2. Cracked dash is very common. Search this site. Not much can be done, however. IIRC, over half of ours are cracking, according to a Saabnet poll.
3. Whoever told you that you can "drop" a GT motor into a SAAB was smoking crack. And not just a small rock of it but a huge bongload of Marion Berry's finest favorite nuggets o' Columbian lovestones. The only motor you can drop into a SAAB is a SAAB motor. To go faster, go to the Performance board and read about a 1000 old posts to get a good idea of how to get more loud pedal.
(and none of you respond with a picture of that guy's c900 with a V8 in the back - that doesn't count cuz it ain't what *most* of us would say was an idea and implementation based on the standard definition of reality.)
