with rebuilding old engines, heck, they might not even have a mechanic that knows how to do it.
The easy out for them is to order a factory rebuilt engine and move the parts over.
This usually gets so expensive that the customer chose to go to an independant.
It's probably several "mom and pop" dealerships out there that work more like an indy shop, but the "mega modern" once focus more on getting the 2K models and newer serviced.
