NG's are smaller by a foot in width and lots in length, and have more engine problems in the first few years. 900c's had most problems worked out by 1990, are roomier, and look like real Saabs.
The 900NG is built on an entirely different platform. They called it a 900 just to have some continuity and to maintain customer loyalty. It is like comparing a 1984 Cutlas Supreme with rear wheel drive to a 1990 Cutlas Supreme with front wheel drive. There is absolutely no similarity in design or components used.
