Matt,
I don't think you need to test the Jetronic computer. It controls fuel injection, not the starter motor.
I would just try a new battery. That's probably all it needs to get it running again. Get someone to take you to the parts store and get a correct battery.
If you have no other way to get to the store and MUST drive your SAAB, then I'd either try using jumper cables OR a car battery charger which plugs in the wall outlet (120V AC to 12V DC), but it's a long shot. From what you describe, the battery sounds completely dead, even too far gone to accept a jumpstart/charge. The voltage spike from jump-starting with jumper cables is the possible cause for concern and is the only thing that might harm your LH-Jetronic (fuel injection) computer, but that is not too common.
NOTE: A new battery may "fix" the problem, but your problem may reoccur. Why? I've heard that SAABs with motorized seatbelts sometimes let the motor get stuck "on" as if still trying to move the seatbelt in its track. So, I would keep close watch on the car when you install a new battery to see if this is happening.
Good luck! Hope this helps!
