A bit early for headgasket, but if you don't know the coolant change history, you might consider changing it out. If you are getting the antifreeze smell in the cabin, i would suspect the heater valve or its hose connections first and then the heater core. If it's the valve, you might see signs of drips on the floor mats. You can see the heater valve through the left speaker hole. Look for crusty signs of coolant leakage. A heater core will usually leave a film of antifreeze on the windshield when you run the defroster.
These are some headgasket symptoms: Any coolant level drop with no other leaks(after ruling out heater valve and core)??? Does the dipstick show frothy creamy brownish gunk? Any oil in the coolant tank? When you rev the engine, do you get a steady stream of air bubbles in the coolant tank from the small hose coming from the radiator? If one or two sparkplugs are amazingly clean while the others are normal.
