If the vibration dampenner is shot, the engine will spin and the belts won't. That will create squealing similar to A/C pulley sound. It is also hard to tell apart unless you listen hard or remove A/C belt and still hear the screech. The engine will overheat as there is no water from water pump because the outer pulley is not spinning while the inner is and the rubber between is shot. As a bonus, there will be no water pushed through the heating system, so you won't have interior heat either.

Te only other thing it might be is bad bushings on the alternator itself, allowing the alternator to sit cockeyed and force its belt to fit improperly and scream. That is an easy but time consuming repair. (2 hours give or take).

I also think you should have read my prior post, which you did not do based on your question to Gorger "any thoughts regarding the squealing." I answered it pretty completely. (You have devastated my ego here, and I believe I will cry.)
