I have an '86 900 non-turbo, manual trans; the shifter is loose; it is hard to find gears, especially distinguishing 3d and 5th; also, it is hard to put into 2nd and 1st; not hard to find, just hard to push into those gears. The oil level is ok. Once in gear, there are no weird noises. Also, it seems that the temperature remains cold too long; it takes about 20 minutes of running before the heater gets warm, and the temperature gauge hardly moves into the green. It creeps up into the green after it has been running awhile, even if idling for some time. Can anybody help?
Thanks, Paul
