Tried everything! Fuel delivery problems.

See if you can identify the missing link! '89 900 (non-turbo rotor style fuel pump with supply check valve in the supply line.)

Car was stalling intermittently; it would start up right away and then stall again, each time running less and less. after a lot of troubleshooting i replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure gauge. the plugs we fouled out and after i replaced them the car fired right up. it ran for about two minutes and then died....i have since determined that there is low voltage at the fuel pump which may explain the less than needed fuel delivery (did i mention that i did this test! the car is producing ~500ml after 30 seconds of letting the pump run) i had been jumpering the pump through the fuse box which gave me a voltage of 10.6V when the pump was running. i straight wired the pump to the battery and was able to maintain 12.5V while the pump is running although I couldn't get it started this way (haven't tried too hard yet. battery was dying and the plugs may soaked with gas still)

so after all this i have a few questions. the fact that i could get 12.5 volts while straight wiring the pump shows that the problem is in the circuit and eliminates the trunk ground, right? also i should be able to get the car running with this configuration, correct? i still haven't check the fuel delivery volume when the pump has proper voltage but what else could be causing that?(i have replaced nearly everything and there are no leaks or crimps in the lines)
