i determined that the low voltage at the fuel pump was due to a poor connection at the fuel pump. the car started right up this morning and ran for 45sec. then died and never restarted. i troubleshot the entire LH system and found 1)throttle position sensor needs adjusting 2) there is no power to the ELCD 3)the ignition pulse signal is 6.5V even though it is supposed to be only 2-3V(i have an LH 2.4)
other than that all of the relays work etc.
for some reason after the car sits for awhile it will start right up and run for ~1 min. then it never starts again. i feel like i have sufficiently ruled out anything in the fuel system ($300 later) even though my initial prognosis was that was where the problem originated.(the FPR was stuck closed and not letting gas through. i also replaced fuel pump)i can really be sure with out checking fuel pressure. but something tells me i am losing spark.
i guess it's onto the iginition system next!
