2 Months ago my brake fluid light came on intermittently on '89 SPG. I planned on replacing my pads/rotors soon so I figured it was normal, so I filled up with a little DOT3, and light went away. Several weeks later light is back and I notice puddle under the resevoir area, refill and again several weeks later light is back on.
I'm a novice at repair, and I never had a good place to do any work. But, I figure it must be my resevoir and/or my master cylinder leaking. eEuroparts has the resevoir and master cyl for like $85 is that all it is? And how easy is this to replace and bleed myself after I'm done? I also have pads/rotors and am planning on doing so when it warms up (5 deg in MN right now). Should I wait and do it all at once so I don't have to deal with bleeding brakes twice? Also do I just drain system and refill with new fluids, is that flushing or is there more? Is this all included in the Bentley? I'll probably get one if I order the part from eEuro.
