so it's been 1 month now since my old tranny crapped out (that time spent working on the car), I spent $1000 for a rebuilt 5 speed, about $2000 total for all the stuff I got. and now it seems I might have essentially RUINED my transmission. Called Rob at Scanwest and he thinks that I could have screwed up the syncros when I tried shifting without fluid in it. You probably think I'm stupid because of that, but hear me out. I didn't actually *shift*, I merely tried to go into first, and when there was resistance, I pushed no further, and the same for 2nd. He thinks I might have damaged my syncros right off the bat. Now shifting sucks in the car. I've had to doubleclutch my shifts, and it just feels shitty, for a lack of better words. I thought the shift mechanizm was misaligned, but that may not be it, a broken transmission instead. So now I might have to replace it with all the goddamn money that I don't have!!! Right now I'm just at the end of what I can handle. Too many things went wrong while working on the car, and if this is just another one, then I think I might absolutely lose it. I feel like crying right now, and it takes a lot to make me do that. If it is ok, I'll be on cloud 9, but I'm really not to optimistic of that possibility, since Rob at Scanwest told me that my symptoms are not that of a misaligned shifter, but rather the result of my doings (which just makes me feel about twice as bad right now). Any soothing words for me out there?? Probably not. Sorry I just have to vent right now, cause I am so incredibly stressed out right now, and I am just not ready for what might await me......
