If the sound is like i described AND the noise occurs whenever the car is moving (as opposed to only when the brakes are applied) then it sounds like you have a screw (most likely from the dust shield, although i've heard rocks can get in there too) caught between the rotor and dust shield.
Follow the procedure for removing the rotors, and hopefully the screw/rock will just fall out the bottom as you move the rotor away from the dust shield. If you don't have the time to venture into it right away, you may be able to remove the brake pads and just loosen the rotor just enough to get whatever is in there to fall out so that you can get the car on the road again.
Use lock-tite when re-installing the dust shield screw (and due them all now that you have the rotors off) to avoid any of them from coming out again in the future from vibrations.
