Bought a 3" exhaust at speedparts, put it in myself, tricky, was the first time i work on exhaust, and it lasted 7 month. Noisy, it was, oooh plenty leaks. Went abroad for work, phoned to wife, dearling exhaust apart. Fortunately, she was able to bring car and axhaust back home : she had to use our spare car, our nice & vintage 3 generation old Fiat 500.
I was ashamed of my work, so I did bring my 900 to workshop, please put me all the stuff back in place , ah ah first problem, no way to find collars big enough in my place. I had to order a set at speedparts . Ok, back to workshop, had the car back: let's go to Paris ( 700 kms trip ). Well, Paris, Nice, chrismas, boum, 0100 am, on the way back to hotel, exhaust apart : the goddamn wankers of workshop put regular bolts (instead of self thightening ones ) between exhaust manifilod an pipe : all three were gone : Wife had a broad smile, my sight was fouled by a curtain of blood.
I had to buy in Paris a set of tools ( cause I refuse to bring my toolbox in the car : wether my car is reliable, wether not ), worked on a parking lot in december in Paris , Ohhhh i love my car. Now all is in place again, and leak free. Knock on wood.
