heres the deal: took off intake, changed oil pump and crank seal, changed water pump, & installed water lines for turbo over weekend.
Got the car running, took it to work and back Monday/Tuesday, 18psi vacuum just like normal, full boost. Determine PS belt is too tight and need change oil again.
Get home Tuesday change oil, replace fuel rail washers, adjust belts, fix water leak at tstat.
Test drive sucks, car only pulls 14psi vacuum@idle, boost kills car. Get back home check the three main 'ports' off intake the intake (with silicon hoeses, no less) ~ (brake/fuel/aux,,dist,PVC) and they all hold vacuum. Take all the turbo intercooler pipes (pressure side only) off. Connectors all look and feel good. Spray brake cleaner everywhere while at idle, nothing. Spray MAPP gas (propane) everywhere nothing.
I'm looking for exotic vacuum leak stories here! 'Cause I have no clue where this guy developed. Usually when you change the oil you upset some hoses there. Put the mityvac right on the vent elbow and no leak on all five hoses beyond it. Damn!
