Here's another real-world example. My wife, in one of her few lapses of judgement, pulled out to make a left hand turn at an intersection. She didn't see the camry barreling down the road from the left. The camry hit her square on the left-rear quarter panel at an impact speed of about 20 to 30mph. The camry glanced off to the right and the SAAB swung about. That was two years ago. My SAAB still has the dent (not that big, either). No other damage except a broken rear light assembly and snapped side fascia. The camry's front left was all smashed, but drivable (barely). When I saw the SAAB and the Camry, it seemed like such an impossibility that the two were in the same accident. Those quarter panels are TOUGH!
