Cylinder head removal problem

I'm at the part wher you loosen the cam sprocket bolts. I broke 3 sockets already on the intake cam. The exhaust cam is loosend. I even slipped with open end wrench on the cam flats, that sucker is on way too tight.
My qquestion is if I remove tensioner & exhaust cam sprocket, will there be enough room to sneak the chain off the intake sprocket? Should I remove the entire camshaft with the sprocket?
I'm sure when the head is removed I can get the bolt off with an impact wrench
