I love this car. I took a friend who is a mechanic and we went and looked at it. Silverish purple hue of a color, 1989 Saab 900 S. 137000 miles
Only work I have done to it was i installed the blue head lights, the old ones werent halogen. I took it to a carwash. It even came with the original carrying case with all the records from when the first owner owned it, i believe i am the 3rd, along with all manuals. Muffler system works fine as it passed emmissions with ease but the techs couldnt find the keys as this was probably the first saab they ever tested. I noticed the car has power assisted steering which feels weird when being used to full power steering. Clarion tapedeck and all speakers in perfect working order, although the power antenna probably needs oiling as it sticks when it comes up and down. Only problem on the car and if anyone has an idea let me know.

The shifter linkage is off a little i think. to shift into 5th, you have to lift the ball grip on the shifter a few millimeters and then it will slide in no problem. The car was driven in wisconsin for a while so there is some rust on the oil pan and some suspension a arms. I noticed that there was no skidplate as i took it to a carwash and boy there was steam all over the place. And some rust holes along the bottom of the doors. After reading posts here, i expected that and hey I didnt pay 800. I got it for 750.!! New battery and brakes work real well with no sqealing.

If I leave the headlights on, and turn the car off, will it kill the battery still? I noticed when the key is turned off, that the headlights go off, but, this morning the battery was dead, first time that happened.

He had another that he would take 400 for, but it didnt go into reverse.
