I had to remove the regulator and motor in every one of my 900's at some point to free them up. I used to hold the glass in the up position with a couple of pieces of duct tape stuck to the outside of the glass, up over the door frame and stuck to the inside. In every case it was bound up pivot points of the regulator assembly that prevented the window from raising and lowering. Liberal applications of PB Blaster, flexing the joints then cleaning and applying some good white grease would make them good as new for at least a couple of years. You can't flex the joints enough to loosen the crud without removing the assembly. After you've done it once or twice you can do it in half an hour.
