Removing the windshield without breaking can be a challenge. The basic procedure is to remove the plastic locking strip that fits in the rubber gasket. You then need to push from the inside near an upper corner while someone prys the rubber up on the outside to pop the glass free. You may either tear the rubber or smash the windshield in the process. Use a smooth flat piece of strong wood rather than a screwdriver to work on the rubber. Lubricate well with soapy water and hope that someone didn't use some goo to seal the windshield to the gasket.
The other solution is to get a new rubber gasket and then just cut the old gasket to free the windshield.
