I agree with Jeff and Trev. No yes-or-no answer, since the year and condition and market value come into play. Frinstance: my first Turbo was a lovely one-owner '84 in slate blue, very nice, but 175k miles. I paid $2000 for it. No collision coverage, since a minor crash would total it.
My current ride is a black '89 SPG, 100k, 2-owners all history known, and I will keep it forever. Kelly Blue Book listed it near $6000 last spring, so I definitely carry collision and comprehensive ( fire, theft, glass). The guide line seems to be: $2000 or less = collision bad value. See Kelly on line if you have no idea of car's market worth.
