If it was bucking and the smoke was blackish, you probably had a loose clamp or split boot on the air ducting somewhere between the turbo the throttle body.
You might also have a bad FPR.
In either of those cases, the car will run really rich - excess gas can thin the oil film on the cylinder walls and burn the oil.
Inspect a couple of things before you get into the rebuild job.
- the rubber boots and clamps on the ducting (you probably already have all of that off)
- Check the spark plugs for black porcelains (good sign of running way rich)
