Its a warm 75 degrees here in Oklahoma, not a cloud in the sky! Its spring Break, and Im off work for 3 days. I want to repair and paint the drivers rear quarter , rear door and blend on the Drivers door of my 87 900 S. Heres the thing, I cant find my PPG manual that states all the products out there and the components of each product.

Can the painters out there help me out ??

I need to repair the driver rear Wheel well lip because of cracking, and the rear pass door with a 1.5 hrs of dings, and then Crows feet in the paint. I will need to sand out the old filler from previous owner and reapply here. I want some suggestions on what product to use and amount of product I should buy.

I have come across Dupont, House of Kolor, and PPG. PPg seems to be less than Dupont, and House of Kolor seems less in cost to the other two. HoK, uses a 1:1 ratio on the Primer, Im think I read this right, The base being straight base? not reduced? and then Clear 4:1. It seems to be the most cost worthy being they sale the product in qts and pts instead of mainly gallons.

Then Ppg also makes qts too. My question is can someone give me a complete rundown of product name from Primer and components to Base and components and then Clear and components to come out with a deep gloss finish. Doesnt have to be High dollar now either. On the clear Id like a medium quality finish , it doesnt have to be Glamourclear but quite eye catching.

I tell ya Im lost with out this PPG manual!!

THanks for the help and Happy Spring Break!!!
