I've recently bought a 1985 900 Turbo, (300,000kms). It's in good shape, and runs decently, but I have a few newbie questions hopefully someone can help with:
1. I got a new muffler put on, and was told that there is a leak between the engine and the exhaust manifold, I can hear it now when I accelerate, since the muffler has been changed. Big job to fix?

2. My temp guage gets to about 3/4 in stop and go traffic. I can't hear the cooling fan come on. Other than fuses, what can I check?

3. The idle speed is high, about 1200-1400 RPM. Is this a simple idle speed adjustment? Or is there more involved? I know on my old Jetta there was an APC(?) valve that went bad and caused high idle, but it was more of a hunting idle rather than a consistant high idle.

I plan on getting a Bentley manual, but until then I could use a few tips.
