Jon is right - there's no such thing as a convertible SPG. This is an argument that comes up at least once a month. Look at any of the original paperwork you might have on the car - you won't see SPG written anywhere.
SPG's were indeed three doors and stopped being produced in '91. Your convertible has the side cladding and the three spoke wheels, but that's it. There were several other goodies included in true SPG's.
Just be happy owning a Saab! Don't sweat the SPG label. Jon is also right that you'll be ignored if you insist that you have a convertible SPG. You may think it's petty and silly, but other eclectic car owners have the similar arguments. Example - There are distinct (and costly) differences between a BMW 535 and an M5! Tell the M5 group that your lowered 535 with cool wheels and "M" badging is an M5 and they'll get downright hostile!
