MB Quart 8"(Mids)in sealed air pocket in doors and JL Audio 12" sub behind rear seat facing back of hatch. I run a 6 channel Fosgate 360.6 rated a 650 watts total power along with an Audio Contol pre-amp. I have no rear speakers except the sub and it rocks(very load and clean) The imaging is excellent and I've been told it could be entered in stereo competitions.
I wanted highs, mids and low on different channels to have the cleanest sound. Imaging is better by keeping your front sound field and on the sides. In the future I may put MB Quart 5.25" in dash OEM postion but this would take some modifications.
Go for sep highs and mids and sub channels if you really want clean powerful sound. You also might like what your proposing so you could try it and change it later.
Get Optima 900CCA Yellow Top and 115 amp 9000 alternator for no battery troubles if you really like to crank it. Some guy put in a 150 amp alternator but it took more mods than just switching your pulley to the
9000 alternator.
Best, KB.

- No speakers in the rear will sound rather weak, imho., Talladega900, Thu, 27 Mar 2003 13:15:09
