My main reason for adding this setup to my car is a-to ensure that it runs "cold" around 100deg f, and mainly b- I was going to look into making a performance transmission cooling package add on for the C900 owners. I was just throwing the idea around...
As for the cooler, I already have a medium duty oil cooler for the engine oil behind the grill. I have not noticed any decrease in performance in the radiator or the AC system. Rather than spend 150+ on a new radiator with less cooling capacity (I also recently replaced my stock S rad with 130k on it with a new turbo one), it seemed better and more cost effective to just add another external cooler.
As for using the AC switch, it only would "close" when the AC is on and the engine temp is very high. (this switch is to help prevent overheating). And If I were to wire it into the fans, the pump would never (or rarely) go on when on the highway..or is this ideal?
Thanks,
Justin Duthie
