OK- my mechanic was/is right and more!
The Magnacore 8.5MMs are off and a slightly used set of Bougiecords are back on and I'm absolutley happy. It's been 2 years with Magna and mods et al.. I've been hunting a "low end bogg."
It took a call to Swedish Dynamics (THANKS) to convince me. Don't get me wrong- I'm happy with the quality and insolation provided by Magna.. Probably will get the 8MM from SD in time. For shits & gigles I'm going to test the resistance of each.
NGKs next? I guess the next step is to take my mechanics next long term advice, "lose the EVs and go ES!" He says the ESs have more room for spark and better- you just replace more often. He may be right- I tried some ES 20K ago, but I was running the 8.5 (the problem) and noticed nothing.
Live and learn- 4 SAABs, about 200K miles and countless $$ (because I refuse to count) later... I'm still learning and the consumate novice! One constant- the BB!
Too cap it all off- I'm actually considering a Ferrari. No- not made of $$$, but you can buy mid-80s Testers for 30-50K. I suppose at one point in your life you need to say, "oh- that was back when I had that peice of shit Fararri!" ??? I even emailed my insurance company to see if they would cover it. Did they email me back- no, they called me (figured I came into some $$)!?
So why not post on the perf BB? Because some junkie would ask me for my latest dyno and show me his. Sorry- had to get that off my chest!
Feeling much better now- SAAB ON!
Steve
