I have a high mileage 87 spg that some electrical gremlins:
1. The radio would cut out when the cornering lights turned on. Strangely enough the turn signal fuse was blown. They always worked but affected the radio when the turn signal stalk was in the maximum position in either direction.
2. I dont remember what else was going haywire but after checking all the grounds I cured it by wiring an extra ground to the fusebox. Inside the fusebox is a large common ground strip of terminals. As I recall there was a row of shiny silver terminals with a lot black wires goin to it with several of extras. I ran a wire from here to a spot I made behind the fusebox. Make sure any terminals you make are clean, free of paint, and tight. This defenitely cured mine for going on 6 years and 150k.
Just a suggestion- it's easy and cheap.
