First of all, I would like to thank everyone who replied.
Mr.RS
I would like to share a bit of history on my Saab, maybe it would help.
My x-boyfriend killed the manual tanny six years ago. I did some research
on the tranny and found a flaw in the pinion bearing, which was replaced and had a complete tranny rebuild. The last 5 years the car has sat idle, and a few months ago I began to work on it. With help, my friends and I had installed the motor and tranny back into the car. It wouldnt start...
so I traced the problem to the fuel pump, some wires were not connected so the fuel pump relay never came on, that was resolved. Once I had the car started, the APC chatters upon start up, the chatter then goes away after idling....a few revs of the motor, the chatter comes back when RPMs decrease, in my opinion the chatter from the APC is somewhat inconsistant.
Since the car hasnt been on the road for the last 6 years I can not tell you what the gas mileage is, but I do run it just on my street when nobody is around. The engine does run a bit rough, but I think thats a vacum problem, which is another problem for me.(cant find vacum diagrams)
When i just take the car for a quick run down my street, take off is very sluggish, then after 3500 RPMs the car just takes off!!
My turbo guage works, the boost is at mid white when at idle, and will go up to mid yellow when the engine is reved, but does not go into the red.
So I hope that this could help in resolving my Saab problems.
Thanks, Kristine
