1989 Turbo Manual Buying Guide

I can get hands on a 1989 900 Turbo.
For what I need to look out if I'm doing the test drive?
As far there's no rust or dents, the interior is nice and very clean. Saab is cheap, very cheap.
I'm not too familiar with manual gearboxes, never drove a 5 speed car before for a longer time. (Mini's are only 4speed!) Having only experiences with a Golf and other Rental cars with manual tranny.
Is it normal that all gears are 'stiff' before engaged? Feeling a bit strange, not so nice as in the Mini.
Car has covered 114,000kms, LHD, 5-Speed Manual, Turbo, Aero, Leather, wood, Tow bar and service history since new.
Maybe for parts? Fitting the engine in the Convertible?
Any suggestions?
