The slave requires one to R&R the clutch to replace, and when the clutch is replaced, the old slave is just sitting there. But you get no extra credit for doing the master at the same time, except you're already dirty and need to bleed the clutch anyways. It would relieve one potential source for failure, but remembering to flush the hydraulic circuit every year is more likely to save problems.
