would it not be possible to do it another way: take valve cover off, take timing chain cover off, take chain tensioner off (which may then allow you to take off camshaft sprocket due to looser chain), and then take chain off? refit would be reverse of removal.
this would avoid removal of head from engine, and allows for installation of new chain tensioner.
you'd need a hoist to do it comfortably i guess.
