Did you get your old transmission rebuilt or is this from the other guy that you had mentioned?
IIRC, there's an O-ring that seals the trans level tube. You may want to get a filler stick from a boneyard. I'll check the parts catalog when I get home.
I used the Gary Moore method to compress the pressure plate:
jack up car
put the pressure plate down on a piece of cardboard (to protect the surface) under a wheel
put a throwout bearing and block of wood over the bearing where the bearing normally contacts the pressure plate fingers
slowly lower the car, making sure that the bearing and block of wood don't spring out or unevenly compress the pressure plate fingers
put in pressure plate tool
raise car

Simple green, a soft toothbrush, and hose are what I'm going use to clean up the engine compartment when I empty the engine compartment
