E-brake arm didn't return to it's 'release' position regardless of whether the cable was attached or not... just seemed like the spring wasn't strong enough pull it back into position. I sprayed some WD-40 in the area and it improved somewhat, but still didn't return all the way. I continue to spray, work the arm manually, spray, work manually, and repeated about 5 or 6 times until the arm eventually quickly 'snapped' back into position like it should, so i think i'm all set.

QUESTION: Is this only a temporary fix, or might this last a long time? Is spraying the area with WD-40 good preventative maintenance, so i should spray the passenger's side now even though there's no problem? If this is temporary and i need to fix permanently, should i replace the entire caliper OR just get the seal/bushing kit?

Thanks for the help i received on diagnosing and fixing this!
