You can syphon or "turkey baster" the fluid out of the resevoir without any worries about air in the lines. the fluid level in the clutch never gets below the bottom of the resevoir...remember there is a hose from the bottom of the resevoir to the clutch master that stays full of fluid so air cannot get into the master.
If you want to put new fluid in, I would highly recommend making a pressure bleeder out of a bike tube. If you flush by pedal pumping, you will be pumping forever, since each pedal pump displaces only a small amount of fluid. If you're just bleeding the air out, pumping is OK, because any air in the master will be bled out on the first corner you do.
