Any ideas from anyone what could be causing these symptoms on my 83 turbo?
1. Poor idle, rich mixture after engine warms up and fans kick-on. Already checked cold start, themo-time switch, vacuum pressure and aux-air valve also replace O2 sensor (it ran much better after that, but still has issues).
2. While driving and accelerator is pushed down smoothly, but with purpose, I get black smoke from exhaust and car stutters/hesitates and does not boost.
I tried jumping the thremo switch (on the thermostat housing) and it didn't really make much difference, but the poor idle and rich mixture after warmup would lead me to believe that's my problem. If it is my problem then it ddoesn't end there because I can't seem to find this part. Would dealerships be able to get it?
Thanks,
Sean H
