I'm just thinking about the way the engine's hung up in the mounts... there's two on the block and one (the front) on the tranny. There are some bolts you can't reach that keep the trans to the engine. If you really want to roll the car, you gould always take out the driveshafts - you have to anyways before you hoist the engine - put the wheels back on (after you put the balljoints back in place) and roll it. No, frankly I'd say what you're suggesting is harder than taking the whole thing out. Maybe someone knows better, you have me somewhat baffled.
What happened to your engine? Broke your timing chain? It's about time I did mine.
