The fuel pump relay on our 85 Saab 900 is a black relay about 1x1x2-1/2" tall just behind the the fuse block section..in the fuse box. See earlier post for guide about what pins to jump. Finding the problem will be very basic on the 8V but there are a couple of items to look at. You can refer to my 85 900 8V Web Page below to become familiar with some of the engine components and locations. But you will need to check the fuel delivery via the injectors (please check former post answers). If it is not that you will move on to the ignition module function and/or fuel pump relay. I will be happy to send you anything you want on the fuel system and/or ignition system since I have the complete SAAB factory shop repair manuals for the 85 which has been very helpful for me for the last 18 years....
